QNB Group announced that it received the Best Digital Bank award for Qatar together with the Best for Product Marketing title for the MENA region at the MEED MENA Banking Excellence Awards 2026. The bank said the honours reflect its achievements in customer-oriented digital solutions that have accelerated online banking uptake across its markets. Measurable gains in adoption followed the introduction of more than 60 new features to its digital platforms over the past year. QNB added that the progress stems from its stated goal of delivering tomorrow’s digital banking today.
The Best Digital Bank in Qatar recognition centred on the bank’s expansion of its digital ecosystem and the resulting rise in transaction activity. Digital account openings increased noticeably after the launch of a fully digital enrolment service that eliminated the need for branch visits. The bank reported additional growth from the rollout of card delivery, digital motor insurance and Visa transfer capabilities. These services extended to its international network and to small-business clients seeking streamlined financial tools.
According to QNB the new features have simplified everyday banking while broadening access for diverse customer segments. Transaction volumes climbed as users shifted toward the enhanced mobile and online channels. The group noted that small-business offerings in particular have helped entrepreneurs manage finances with greater efficiency across borders.
QNB stated that its Best for Product Marketing award in the MENA category recognised the effectiveness of campaigns linking customer requirements to digital innovations. Targeted communications drove higher usage of online banking services and supported long-term client retention. Data-informed marketing has allowed the bank to refine product development and measure engagement with precision.
These awards arrive as the regional digital banking sector experiences strong expansion. Grand View Research projected the Middle East digital banking platform market to grow at a compound annual rate of 17.8 percent from 2026 to 2033 reaching 9.72 billion dollars. Rising demand for convenient secure services underpins the forecast. Comparable increases appear in adjacent areas such as real-time payments and fintech applications.
An Arthur D. Little assessment placed venture capital funding for MENA fintech at a record 3.8 billion dollars in 2025. The capital inflow signals investor confidence in technologies that improve financial inclusion and operational efficiency. QNB’s recognised initiatives position the institution to capitalise on these market dynamics through continued digital investment.
