Dubai Taxi Company PJSC and its strategic partner Bolt signed an agreement with Arabia Taxi to add the subsidiary of Economic Group Holdings’ fleet of 1607 taxis to the Bolt platform operating in Dubai, according to an announcement published by WAM on August 19. The integration aims to enlarge the pool of available vehicles, raise fleet utilisation rates and deliver greater reliability for app-based bookings throughout the emirate. Faster estimated times of arrival and more efficient matching during peak demand are among the expected outcomes of the partnership. Industry reports indicate the addition will support a more responsive ride-hailing service across key areas of the city.
Dubai Taxi Company said in the statement that network expansions remain centred on customer experience. Group CEO Mansoor Rahma Alfalasi stated, “At Dubai Taxi Company, every expansion of our mobility network is ultimately about delivering a better experience for our customers. By integrating Arabia Taxi’s fleet onto the Bolt platform, we are supporting this foundation.” Alfalasi added, “As demand for app-based mobility continues to grow, partnerships such as this reinforce our ability to scale efficiently while supporting Dubai’s vision of becoming one of the world’s smartest and most connected cities.”
Dubai Taxi Company figures show the operator ran 6217 taxis at the close of 2025, including 525 electric vehicles, for a 45 percent market share. The DTC-Bolt collaboration incorporated more than 6000 vehicles that year, among them 700 airport taxis integrated during March. An additional 1823 taxis from National Taxi joined the platform in February 2026, according to Arabian Business.
Arabia Taxi, through Executive Director Rawoof Ali, welcomed the opportunity to reach more customers via the digital service. “It enables our fleet and drivers to connect with a broader customer base through a leading digital mobility platform while enhancing the efficiency of our operations,” Ali said in the announcement. The parties agreed to maintain close coordination to uphold service quality standards for all users.
Bolt extended its presence to Abu Dhabi in May 2026, capitalising on the established DTC partnership that had already logged one million trips in Dubai by January 2025. Following the July 2026 acquisition of National Taxi, the combined DTC fleet surpassed 9500 vehicles. A separate assessment placed DTC activity growth at 24 percent year-on-year for 2025.
The successive fleet additions have allowed Bolt to strengthen its position within the UAE’s expanding e-hailing sector, according to data compiled by Gulf Business. Partnerships of this nature continue to align operator capacity with passenger demand patterns observed in Dubai and the wider region. Further integration efforts remain focused on technology-driven improvements to mobility services.
