The Real Estate Registration Department at the Ministry of Justice placed total real estate trading volume at QR499.777 million for the period from Oct. 4 to Oct. 8, according to its weekly bulletin released on Oct. 15. Registered sale contracts contributed QR419.01 million while the residential units bulletin accounted for QR80.77 million, bringing the combined figure to the reported total. The department’s data listed the traded assets as including vacant land, houses, residential buildings, a commercial building, shops, apartments and residential units.
Sales activity concentrated in the municipalities of Al Rayyan, Doha, Al Wakra, Al Daayen, Umm Salal, Al Khor, Al Thakhira and Al Shamal, the bulletin showed. Transactions also took place in areas such as Lusail 69, Pearl Island, Al Wukair, Ghar Thuaileb, Al Khraij, Al Gharrafa and Al Sakhama. The department’s breakdown illustrates sustained buyer interest across both core urban zones and newer development districts.
The preceding week from Sept. 27 to Oct. 1 produced a trading volume of QR508.269 million, according to the Real Estate Registration Department’s earlier bulletin. That period recorded QR464.18 million in registered sale contracts and QR44.09 million in residential unit sales. The latest reading therefore reflects a modest sequential decline while remaining within the range of recent weekly activity.
Ministry of Justice figures show the department processed 17,023 real estate registration and authentication transactions during the full month of September. August trading under registered sale contracts totalled QR1.291 billion across 424 deals, with leading value recorded in Doha, Al Rayyan and Al Daayen, the ministry data indicated. These monthly aggregates place the latest weekly performance in the context of steady sector momentum through the third quarter of 2026.
The department issues its bulletins to track sales, mortgages and related activity, providing regular market transparency. Its September summary highlighted a continued shift toward digital services, with more than 4,300 authentication transactions completed online through the Single Window System. Such operational updates accompany the trading statistics and reflect broader efforts to modernise real estate procedures.
Weekly volumes have fluctuated throughout the year, according to the ministry’s compiled reports, with certain periods exceeding QR1 billion. The Real Estate Registration Department noted that its latest bulletin covers only the specified five-day window and does not include all transaction categories published in monthly overviews. Market participants use these sequential releases to monitor short-term trends in Qatar’s property sector.
