National Bank of Umm Al Qaiwain said in a statement that it recorded a profit after tax of AED 378 million for the period ended 30 September 2026. The UAE-based bank attributed its performance to resilient fundamentals, disciplined risk management and a strategy focused on balanced long-term growth amid softer interest rates and regional geopolitical tensions. The announcement, distributed via the Emirates News Agency, highlighted ongoing efforts to diversify the balance sheet and optimise costs.

The results extend the AED 271 million profit after tax that the bank reported for the first six months of the year. That first-half performance featured net interest income of AED 310 million, a figure nearly unchanged from the AED 309 million recorded in the corresponding period of 2025. Total interest income for the first half reached AED 503 million, according to the earlier disclosure.

Total assets stood at AED 24.1 billion as of 30 June 2026, reflecting a 20 percent increase from June 2025 and a 5 percent rise from the end of 2025. Customer deposits climbed 29 percent year on year to AED 17.1 billion while net loans and advances grew 4 percent to AED 8.7 billion over the same timeframe. Shareholders’ equity reached AED 6.4 billion, up 3 percent from a year earlier.

The bank’s capital adequacy ratio stood at 31 percent as of mid-year, well above the minimum threshold required by the Central Bank of the UAE under Basel III guidelines. Its non-performing loans ratio improved to 0.4 percent from 2.2 percent a year earlier while the impairment coverage ratio stood at 266 percent. These metrics underscore the bank’s conservative approach to risk, the mid-year statement indicated.

Adnan Al Awadhi, Chief Executive Officer of NBQ, said the bank delivered solid results despite geopolitical uncertainty and a lower interest rate environment, supported by its diversified business model, disciplined balance sheet management and focus on sustainable growth. The CEO’s assessment, offered in connection with the first-half results, continues to frame the bank’s execution through the third quarter. NBQ, established by Amiri decree in 1982 and listed on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange, maintains 17 branches and an Islamic banking window that has operated since 2005.

Trailing twelve-month net income stood at AED 538 million as of June 2026 while full-year 2025 net income totalled AED 581 million, according to financial data compiled by stockanalysis.com. The bank’s focus spans retail, corporate, SME and treasury activities across the UAE. The latest nine-month disclosure reinforces the institution’s emphasis on asset quality and capital strength in a competitive domestic sector.
