WAM reported that NMDC Group is participating in ADIPEC 2026 to present its vision for advancing energy infrastructure alongside marine engineering solutions. The company will occupy Hall 6, Stand No. 6130 at the ADNEC venue, where visitors can explore demonstrations of its integrated engineering, procurement and construction services. NMDC Energy said in an accompanying announcement that it will highlight how its expertise across energy, marine, engineering and infrastructure supports complex projects and the evolving needs of strategic sectors.

Organisers expect ADIPEC 2026 to draw more than 239,000 attendees from over 170 countries together with 2,250 exhibiting companies, according to data published on the ADIPEC website. Hosted by ADNOC under the patronage of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the event will address themes ranging from energy security and investment to artificial intelligence applications in the sector. NMDC Group’s presence forms part of a wider industry gathering that includes major national and international energy players.

The National reported on October 23 that NMDC Energy secured offshore engineering, procurement and construction contracts worth $763 million from Saudi Aramco. These awards supplement Dh2.2 billion in projects obtained during the second quarter of 2026 and support a project backlog that stood at Dh3.3 billion by the end of June. NMDC Energy provides end-to-end solutions spanning pipe laying, fabrication, installation and commissioning for both offshore and onshore energy work.

NMDC Group inaugurated the 148-metre Abu Al Bakhoush self-propelled cutter suction dredger earlier in October, adding 30,040 kilowatts of installed power to its fleet, the company said. Built by a Chinese shipyard and certified to advanced environmental and digital standards including Green Passport and Cyber Resilient classifications, the vessel enhances capacity for precise dredging in harbours, channels and trenches. The group now operates more than 170 specialised vessels alongside over 480 pieces of land equipment.

Coherent Market Insights projected the GCC blue economy market to grow from an estimated USD 191.19 billion in 2026 to USD 289.39 billion by 2033 at a compound annual growth rate of 6.1 percent. Marine renewable energy, sustainable aquaculture and coastal infrastructure rank among the fastest-expanding segments, creating demand for specialised marine services and engineering support. NMDC Group’s activities in dredging, logistics and offshore construction position it to benefit from this regional expansion.

MSCI has awarded NMDC Group an AA leader rating in ESG performance for two consecutive years, according to the company’s disclosures. The group also launched the region’s first commercial hydraulic physical modelling test facility to enable in-country validation of coastal and marine projects while decreasing reliance on overseas laboratories. These steps reflect broader efforts to embed sustainability and local capability development into its operations.

The National quoted NMDC Group chief executive Yasser Zaghloul as saying the company is pursuing opportunities in Iraq, North Africa and Nigeria across both offshore and onshore energy segments. Zaghloul underscored five decades of experience in marine engineering, procurement, construction and complex project logistics when discussing the firm’s expansion strategy. A recent three-year agreement with ADNOC Logistics and Services further strengthens NMDC’s framework for delivering integrated maritime services to support UAE offshore energy operations.
