The Ministry of Justice placed the volume of real estate trading in sale contracts registered with the Real Estate Registration Department at QAR 1,859,383,090 for July 2026. Its analytical bulletin recorded 1,485 real estate transactions during the month. The report highlighted activity levels across the country’s various municipalities.

According to the ministry’s data, municipalities of Doha, Al Rayyan and Al Dhaayen topped the list in terms of financial value. Doha registered transactions worth QAR 763,844,226 while Al Rayyan followed with QAR 461,427,789 and Al Dhaayen with QAR 230,302,596. Al Wakrah came in fourth at QAR 171,137,396, Umm Salal at QAR 126,135,920, Al Khor and Al Dhakira at QAR 71,606,407, Al Shamal at QAR 33,828,756 and Al Shahaniyah at QAR 1.1 million.

The bulletin showed Al Rayyan accounting for 27 percent of traded real estate area, ahead of Doha at 24 percent and Al Wakrah at 17 percent. Al Dhaayen represented 12 percent, Umm Salal 10 percent, Al Khor and Al Dhakira 6 percent and Al Shamal 3 percent. In terms of the number of transactions, Doha led with 28 percent, Al Rayyan had 20 percent, Al Dhaayen 18 percent, Al Wakrah 15 percent, Umm Salal 9 percent, Al Khor and Al Dhakira 6 percent and Al Shamal 4 percent.

Average prices per square foot ranged between QAR 447 and 929 in Doha, the ministry bulletin indicated. The ranges were QAR 347-462 in Al Rayyan, QAR 340-642 in Al Dhaayen, QAR 243-486 in Al Wakrah, QAR 336-423 in Umm Salal, QAR 240-384 in Al Khor and Al Dhakira and QAR 260-464 in Al Shamal, with Al Shahaniyah at QAR 169. The 10 highest value properties sold were located in Doha with six, Al Rayyan with three and Al Wakrah with one.

Mortgage transactions reached 212 with a total value of QAR 4,965,602,610, according to the Ministry of Justice. Al Rayyan led the number of mortgages with 105, or 49.5 percent, followed by Doha with 61, or 28.8 percent. Al Khor and Al Dhakira had 12 mortgages for 5.7 percent while Al Dhaayen and Al Wakrah each had 11 for 5.2 percent, Umm Salal had 10 for 4.7 percent and Al Shahaniyah two for 0.9 percent, with Doha holding the highest mortgage value at QAR 3.15 billion.

Trading in residential units amounted to 114 deals worth QAR 197,755,279 during July, the bulletin reported. The Ministry of Justice attributed the sector’s ongoing performance to recent decisions on real estate brokerage, registration and ownership that have drawn local and foreign capital. Figures from the Aqarat portal of the General Authority for Real Estate Regulation placed total sales transactions for the first half of 2025 at 2,341 with a value of QAR 6.03 billion while a Mordor Intelligence sector outlook projected rental demand in the Qatar residential real estate market to expand at a compound annual growth rate of 7.74 percent.
