EMSTEEL Reports AED 2.4 Billion in Q2 Revenue With EBITDA Up 67 Percent

EMSTEEL said in a statement that it recorded revenues of AED 2.4 billion for the second quarter of 2026 representing an 11 percent increase compared with the corresponding period in the prior year. The group reported EBITDA of AED 457 million in the quarter a 67 percent year-on-year rise that lifted the margin to 19.1 percent from 12.8 percent previously. Net profit reached AED 262 million reflecting a 157 percent increase from the same quarter a year earlier.

According to the company’s release the steel division generated revenue of AED 2.1 billion in the second quarter up 9 percent year on year while producing EBITDA of AED 382 million for a 71 percent gain and a margin of 18.2 percent versus 11.6 percent before. The cement division posted AED 287 million in revenue a 29 percent increase and EBITDA of AED 75 million up 47 percent with the margin expanding to 26.1 percent from 22.8 percent. On a like-for-like basis excluding the divested pipes segment cement EBITDA climbed 89 percent year on year.

The statement showed that total steel sales volumes including finished products and billets stood at 806 000 tonnes in the quarter remaining in line with the prior year. Cement and clinker sales volumes rose 28 percent to 1.1 million tonnes amid sustained market demand. EMSTEEL maintained a net cash position of AED 1.639 billion at the end of June up from AED 1.165 billion at the close of 2025.

For the first half of 2026 the group reported revenue of AED 4.6 billion a 6 percent year-on-year increase and EBITDA of AED 941 million up 74 percent according to the announcement. EMSTEEL signed a collaboration agreement with the Technology Innovation Institute to validate its ES600 high-strength rebar and advance next-generation grades for national infrastructure. The company launched the ES600 product which enables steel consumption reductions of 18 to 24 percent in construction projects already deployed across major UAE developments.

The statement noted that EMSTEEL was recognised as a 2026 worldsteel Sustainability Champion for the third consecutive year becoming the only steel producer in the MENA region to earn the distinction. The group also received the Quality and Compliance Award from the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology at the Make it in the Emirates 2026 event. These achievements highlight the company’s alignment with the UAE’s industrial strategy Operation 300 billion through sustainable manufacturing and local supply.

Eng. Saeed Ghumran Al Remeithi group chief executive officer of EMSTEEL said “EMSTEEL delivered strong performance in the second quarter of 2026 reflecting the effectiveness of our disciplined commercial strategy operational excellence and continued focus on cost optimization across the business.” He added “While revenues grew by 11% our profitability improved significantly with EBITDA increasing by 67% year-on-year and margins expanding to 19.1%. These results demonstrate the strength of our integrated business model and our ability to create value in a dynamic market environment.”
