The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry conducted a field visit to Badami Holding Group, a diversified conglomerate specialising in automotive spare parts distribution, supply chain solutions and logistics services, according to the Emirates News Agency. The delegation was led by Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, director general of the chamber, and included Jamal Saeed Bouzengala, director of corporate communications, and Ali Al Jari, director of the Sharjah Exports Development Centre, along with other staff. The group was received by Asad Badami, managing director of Badami Holding Group, and senior executives at the company’s major distribution centre in Sharjah, which functions as a key regional facility for its worldwide network.

According to the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the visit provided an opportunity to review the company’s business model, future projects and expansion strategies while presenting the chamber’s range of services designed to strengthen private-sector competitiveness. Officials highlighted initiatives covering export promotion, participation in international trade fairs, partnership building and market access support that can help firms such as Badami extend their overseas presence. The tour underscored Sharjah’s established position as a commercial and logistical centre facilitating the flow of goods to regional and international destinations.

Invest in Sharjah figures show a 45 percent increase in foreign direct investment projects in the emirate during 2025, a trend that complements the chamber’s engagement with private companies to drive further growth. The UAE placed fifth globally in the 2026 IMD World Competitiveness Yearbook, leading the Middle East and ranking first in several indicators including economic performance and government policy adaptability, a PwC Middle East assessment of GCC digital transformation noted related reforms. Non-oil activities accounted for 79.4 percent of the economy in the first quarter of 2026, according to the Sharjah FDI Office, creating a stable platform for logistics and distribution businesses.

Sharjah business licences rose 34 percent in 2025, bringing the total number of economic establishments to 84,443, Arabian Business reported, with particularly strong gains in industrial, e-commerce and foreign-owned categories. Newly issued industrial licences grew 17 percent while foreign licences increased 18 percent overall, data that illustrates the momentum the chamber aims to sustain through direct company outreach. The chamber’s visit to Badami Holding Group forms part of a pattern of field engagements intended to match business requirements with tailored export and competitiveness tools.

The Sharjah Exports Development Centre, represented in the delegation, emphasised practical assistance for supply chain optimisation and entry into new markets, the chamber stated. Badami Holding Group maintains additional operations in Dubai and Sharjah’s Emirates Industrial City, spanning emergency roadside services and automotive maintenance workshops that benefit from the emirate’s integrated infrastructure. Such visits enable the chamber to align its programmes with the specific needs of diversified holding groups active in global trade networks.

IMD data places the UAE first in the Middle East for competitiveness, with Sharjah contributing through balanced regional development that saw licence growth of 68 percent in the eastern areas and 126 percent in Khorfakkan during 2025, according to official statistics. The chamber continues to promote similar collaborative visits to ensure private sector entities can capitalise on the emirate’s logistical advantages and policy environment. This approach supports sustained expansion for companies like Badami while reinforcing Sharjah’s role in UAE-wide non-oil trade growth.
