Estithmar Holding Q.P.S.C. announced that its subsidiary Elegancia Arabia Trading has secured a SAR 829 million contract to deliver the mechanical electrical and plumbing package for Prince Mohammed bin Salman Stadium in Saudi Arabia’s Qiddiya City. The deal represents Elegancia MEP’s largest award to date in the kingdom according to the Qatari group’s statement. Construction on the 46,000-seat venue is already under way following the main contract award in October 2024 with the MEP scope now advancing critical systems installation ahead of the 2034 tournament.
The stadium designed by architect Populous will feature a fully integrated retractable roof pitch and LED wall making it the first of its kind worldwide a Qiddiya Investment Company description states. Situated atop a 200-metre cliff in the Tuwaiq range the three-sided bowl offers dramatic views across the entertainment district. Once completed the venue will serve as home ground for Saudi Pro League clubs Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal while hosting Saudi King Cup Asian Cup and 2034 Asian Games fixtures in addition to World Cup matches.
Main construction works are being executed by a joint venture of Spanish contractor FCC Construction and Saudi firm Nesma & Partners MEED reported. That SR15 billion stadium shell contract was awarded in late 2024 setting the overall delivery timeline for completion well before the 2034 tournament. US-based Populous serves as project consultant on the scheme which forms a cornerstone of the broader Qiddiya giga-project under Saudi Vision 2030.
Qiddiya Investment Company data positions the development as a future hub for sports entertainment and gaming located 40 kilometres from central Riyadh. The Prince Mohammed bin Salman Stadium anchors the sports district within the city and forms part of Saudi Arabia’s 11 new and four renovated venues selected for the 2034 FIFA World Cup according to the bid book submitted to FIFA. Saudi Arabia was confirmed as sole host in late 2024 with the tournament spanning five cities including Riyadh Jeddah Khobar Neom and Abha.
Elegancia Arabia Trading operates as a specialised contracting arm of Estithmar Holding delivering MEP landscape fit-out and related services across Saudi projects including the Red Sea development NEOM and Amaala. The group’s contracted backlog stood at QAR 4.2 billion at the end of 2025 with operations spanning ten countries from Qatar to Kazakhstan company figures show. This latest award strengthens Estithmar’s footprint in the kingdom’s infrastructure transformation drive.
MEED noted that the contract win arrives as Saudi authorities accelerate delivery across multiple giga-projects to meet Vision 2030 timelines. Elegancia’s scope covers full MEP and extra-low voltage systems essential for the stadium’s innovative features including integrated LED screens and climate control for the retractable pitch. Industry participants expect the project to generate further subcontracting opportunities in the run-up to the World Cup.
