The Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry has prepared a delegation to present the emirate as an investment destination during the AIM Congress 2026. The chamber will focus on showcasing opportunities across manufacturing, logistics, tourism and small business development in line with Ajman Vision 2030. According to the Emirates News Agency, the participation forms part of broader efforts to attract direct investments and expand international partnerships for local enterprises.
The AIM Congress 2026 will convene from September 7 to 9 at the Dubai World Trade Centre under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Organisers at the AIM Congress official platform described the event theme as Reshaping Global Prosperity with emphasis on sustainable and inclusive investment pathways. The gathering is expected to feature multiple conference sessions, roundtables and business meetings that facilitate connections between governments, investors and industry leaders.
United Nations Conference on Trade and Development data cited in the UAE Foreign Direct Investment Report 2026 placed inbound FDI at $48.3 billion for 2025. The Ministry of Investment noted that figure represented a 6 percent increase from the prior year and positioned the UAE ninth globally among FDI destinations. The report further indicated that the UAE secured 1562 greenfield projects during the period, ranking second worldwide in that category for the third consecutive year.
Ajman Chamber board members reviewed final preparations for the congress during their second meeting of 2026 held on July 1. The session, chaired by Eng. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Muwaiji, also covered outcomes from the chamber’s earlier appearance at the Make it in the Emirates 2026 exhibition where direct meetings with investors took place. According to Zawya reporting on the board meeting, those engagements targeted industrial sectors and aimed to open new export channels aligned with national procurement priorities.
The congress arrives as the UAE continues to advance its National Investment Strategy 2031 that targets annual FDI inflows of $65 billion and a total stock of $600 billion. Investment promotion bodies across the emirates have intensified outreach to align with that benchmark. The Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry has participated in previous AIM events including the China chapter held in Shanghai in November 2025 where it formed part of the UAE national delegation.
Chamber officials will conduct targeted meetings with international participants to present Ajman’s competitive advantages including its strategic location and business-friendly regulations. Previous iterations of the AIM Congress generated thousands of business-to-business sessions and dozens of memoranda of understanding according to post-event summaries from the organising foundation. The Ajman delegation intends to build on that model to secure commitments that support local economic diversification.
