The agreement, reported by the Emirates News Agency, positions the Dubai-based integrated energy company alongside Abu Dhabi’s leading artificial intelligence group to identify and develop practical AI use cases that enhance efficiency, sustainability and service delivery. Emarat maintains an extensive network of service stations and supplies petroleum products integral to Dubai’s economy while G42 contributes advanced capabilities in machine learning, data analytics and sovereign AI systems developed through its various initiatives. A Grand View Research assessment found that the UAE artificial intelligence in energy market stood at 51.6 million dollars in 2025 and is projected to grow at a compound annual rate of 10.2 percent through 2033.
G42 has outlined dedicated energy solutions that apply artificial intelligence, internet of things sensors and cloud computing to support businesses in accelerating the shift toward sustainable practices and net-zero objectives. The group operates AIQ, its joint venture with ADNOC, which commercialises AI applications for the wider oil and gas sector including predictive maintenance and process optimisation that could align with Emarat’s downstream activities. These tools have demonstrated value in interpreting subsurface data, improving drilling efficiency and monitoring asset lifecycles according to G42’s published offerings.
In mobility, G42 has developed a range of technologies focused on geospatial intelligence, route optimisation and predictive analytics that improve safety and responsiveness in transportation networks. The company’s portfolio includes precision mapping for autonomous vehicles, vehicle data analysis for commercial and consumer segments, and intelligent infrastructure management that delivers real-time insights to regulators. Such capabilities, detailed on G42’s platform descriptions, have powered projects including the region’s inaugural autonomous ride-hailing service and could extend to Emarat’s logistics and retail mobility operations.
The partnership builds upon Emarat’s earlier collaboration with Dell Technologies announced in August 2026, which similarly targeted AI adoption to strengthen data-driven decision-making and workforce capabilities across its operations. That agreement emphasised tailored workshops to build internal AI literacy while mapping technology requirements to long-term business priorities. WAM noted that the latest MoU with G42 expands this trajectory by incorporating specialised expertise from one of the UAE’s flagship AI organisations.
G42 has rapidly extended its Intelligence Grid model, which integrates data centres, advanced compute, cloud infrastructure and sector-specific applications, into new international markets including recent agreements signed in Greece during October 2026. Those pacts, covered by The National, explore AI factories and urban analytics for public safety, mobility and municipal services in partnership with Greek entities. The domestic Emarat collaboration reinforces the UAE’s national strategy to embed artificial intelligence throughout strategic industries as electricity demand from data centres and AI workloads continues to rise.
UAE authorities have highlighted AI’s potential to reduce overall energy consumption by more than 30 percent in federal buildings and infrastructure, thereby freeing capacity for emerging high-tech demands, according to statements from the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure. This efficiency focus aligns with the objectives of the Emarat-G42 agreement, which targets measurable improvements in resource management without compromising service standards. Both organisations plan to advance joint assessments that translate AI research into operational deployments tailored to the energy and mobility landscape.
