Data released by Lesha Bank and published on the Qatar Stock Exchange website showed the lender recorded a net profit of QR210.425 million in the nine months to September 30, up from QR140.136 million a year earlier. Earnings per share rose to QR0.188 from QR0.125 in the corresponding period of 2025, according to the figures. The performance continues momentum from the first half of the year when the bank posted a 50.1 percent profit increase to QR123.7 million, a previous bank statement indicated.
Qatar News Agency reported that Lesha Bank Chairman Sheikh Faisal bin Thani Al-Thani attributed the results to the success of the bank’s strategic direction. “These results demonstrate the success of our strategic direction building a balanced, asset-backed platform capable of generating resilient returns across market cycles,” Sheikh Faisal bin Thani Al-Thani said. “Our aim is to build an institution that does not depend on any single market or asset class, and the consistency of our performance reflects that approach. Our priority remains long-term value creation, guided by strong governance, a firm commitment to Shari’a principles and disciplined capital management.”
Lesha Bank Group Chief Executive Officer Mohammed Ismail Al Emadi highlighted execution across business lines in remarks carried by Qatar News Agency. “Our nine-month performance reflects strong execution across all business verticals,” Mohammed Ismail Al Emadi said. “We deployed capital selectively into high-conviction opportunities, actively managed our existing holdings and realized value where the timing was right. During the period, we strengthened our deal pipeline, and grew our client base, all of which supported AUM growth and a more stable income base.”
The chief executive added that the bank’s strong capital position leaves it well placed for the final quarter. “With an aim to originate quality deals, and a strong capital position, we are well placed to capture opportunities in the final quarter and beyond,” Mohammed Ismail Al Emadi stated. Lesha Bank, a Shari’a-compliant investment bank listed on the Qatar Stock Exchange and formerly known as Qatar First Bank, has expanded its assets under management significantly in recent periods.
A bank announcement from June showed assets under management had reached QR19.2 billion at the end of the first half, a 78 percent increase from the year-earlier level, while total assets stood at QR11.1 billion, up 53.9 percent. Total investments grew 27.6 percent to QR4.7 billion in that period, the earlier statement indicated. The nine-month results released on October 22 build on those gains with further growth in fee-based and investment income streams.
Lesha Bank operates as an investment partner offering premium opportunities and financial solutions with reach across local, regional and international markets, according to its corporate profile. The lender’s focus on diversified, asset-backed platforms has helped deliver consistent double-digit profit growth through the first three quarters of 2026 despite regional market fluctuations.
