The Milipol Qatar Committee hosted a gala dinner at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center to honour companies and organisations that sponsored and supported the 16th edition of Milipol Qatar 2026 as well as the Doha International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Security, according to a Ministry of Interior statement. HE Major General Staff Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Suwaidi, assistant undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for technical and specialised affairs, attended the ceremony. During the event Al Suwaidi honoured representatives of the sponsoring entities for their contributions to the exhibition, the artificial intelligence conference and the Elite Physical Challenge Championship, the ministry statement added.
Major General Nasser bin Fahad Al Thani, chairman of the Milipol Qatar Committee, used the occasion to recognise companies that have maintained a longstanding association with the exhibition over the past three decades, a Ministry of Interior release reported. The chairman’s honours acknowledged the role these participants played in the event’s continued success and development since its inception. Such recognition formed part of broader efforts to mark the exhibition’s 30th anniversary, according to details shared in the statement.
The evening concluded with drone and fireworks displays over the Doha Corniche that paid tribute to Milipol Qatar’s three-decade history, the Ministry of Interior stated. The spectacle culminated in an announcement for the next edition scheduled in 2028. These elements highlighted the exhibition’s evolution from its launch in 1996 as the first Milipol event held outside France, committee background information showed.
The 16th edition of Milipol Qatar, which ran from October 20 to 22, 2026, brought together more than 270 local and international companies from 33 countries across a 23,000-square-metre area, figures from the Milipol Qatar Committee indicated. Seven international pavilions participated, including the largest from France with 24 firms focused on security and law enforcement cooperation. The event also featured an outdoor display of the Ministry of Interior’s vehicle fleet, according to a pre-event committee briefing.
Organisers introduced the 30th Anniversary Awards for the first time during this edition to honour sustained participation, a committee press conference ahead of the opening had explained. Major General Nasser bin Fahad Al Thani had expressed appreciation for sponsors’ contributions to both the exhibition and the associated artificial intelligence conference at that time. The recognition at the gala dinner built directly on those earlier acknowledgments, the Ministry of Interior noted in its October 22 statement.
Official partners for the 16th edition included Barzan Holdings as strategic sponsor, Al Abdulghani Motors, Qatar National Bank and Teyseer Holding as main sponsors, and the National Cyber Security Agency as platinum sponsor, according to the Milipol Qatar partners listing. Additional supporters comprised MSC and the Police Tournament Security Force at gold level, with Eshhar Security Services, Huawei and Mannai Corporation listed as silver sponsors. Ooredoo served as exclusive telecom sponsor while Qatar Airways acted as official carrier, the same directory detailed.
