The Ministry of Justice placed the total real estate trading volume for the week at more than QR508 million. This total was compiled from all registered sales and related transactions during the seven-day period. The ministry releases these figures on a weekly basis to detail activity across municipalities including Doha and surrounding areas.

According to the ministry the transactions covered a range of property types from residential units to commercial spaces. The data provides breakdowns by location and deal category in its regular updates. Such reporting forms part of the ministry’s mandate to maintain transparent records of all real estate activities.

A report from Knight Frank on Middle East real estate trends noted that Qatar has experienced stable demand in the property sector throughout 2026. The consultancy’s analysis attributed part of this demand to infrastructure projects tied to the country’s long-term development plans. Knight Frank data showed Qatar among GCC markets with consistent transaction levels in prime districts.

The Planning and Statistics Authority has calculated that real estate and business services contribute around 6.5 percent to Qatar’s gross domestic product. Authority figures from the previous quarter indicated sector output expanded by 3.8 percent year on year. These macroeconomic indicators contextualise the weekly trading totals published by the Ministry of Justice.

Qatar National Bank research on domestic lending showed real estate financing grew by 9 percent in the first half of 2026 compared with the same period a year earlier. The bank’s report linked this increase to lower interest rates and investor appetite for both residential and commercial assets. Bank data aligns with the volume of deals captured in the ministry’s latest weekly summary.

The Ministry of Justice update arrives as authorities implement further measures under National Vision 2030 to streamline property registration processes. These steps include digital platforms that have reduced processing times for transactions. The vision document identifies real estate as one pillar for diversifying the economy away from hydrocarbons.
