The Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry participated in a commercial delegation organised by the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the UAE Embassy in Brussels. The visit which ran from October 5 to 6 2026 aimed to strengthen international economic partnerships and develop trade and investment flows between business communities in the two countries. Mohammed bin Khalifa bin Salem Al-Oraimi represented the chamber as a board member within a wider group that included government officials and private sector figures.

Activities during the mission included attendance at a joint UAE-Belgian economic event along with bilateral meetings that probed potential collaboration areas. Field visits allowed delegates to examine successful economic models in Belgium with an eye toward replicating applicable practices back home. The programme focused on building direct connections that could lead to concrete partnership agreements in the coming months.

Al-Oraimi stated that the Ajman Chamber’s involvement in the UAE mission supports diversification of economic and investment partnerships while opening fresh communication channels with the Belgian business community. He added that such engagement promotes investment opportunities in Ajman and elevates the emirate’s profile on the global business map. The chamber consistently joins official state missions to advance these objectives according to the Emirates News Agency.

During the trip the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry held several one-on-one discussions with Belgian business representatives. Those talks examined prospects for cooperation exchange visits and joint events or forums that would bring together officials and entrepreneurs from both sides. The meetings sought to improve direct dialogue and highlight commercial and investment openings that could create new partnership pathways.

Belgium exported more than 4 billion euros worth of goods to the UAE in 2025 making the Gulf state one of its important markets in the region according to data from the Belgian Foreign Trade Agency. That figure reflects steady demand for Belgian machinery pharmaceuticals and chemical products while the UAE supplies energy and other commodities in return. The 2026 mission builds on earlier contacts including a 2023 meeting in Ajman where chamber officials hosted the Belgian ambassador to discuss similar trade and investment topics across sectors such as tourism industry education health and technology.

The latest visit forms part of broader UAE efforts to widen its international business network beyond traditional partners. Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry officials have pursued comparable outreach with other nations in recent years to attract foreign direct investment and support local companies seeking overseas expansion. Further follow-up actions such as reciprocal visits or signed agreements could emerge from the contacts established in Brussels.
