Mekdam Holding Group QPSC said in a statement to the Qatar Stock Exchange that its subsidiary Mekdam Technical Services W.L.L. received a letter of award from the Public Works Authority known as Ashghal. The contract covers the provision and secondment of specialized professional personnel to the Designs Department and will run for three years from the commencement date or until the total value of issued mobilization orders reaches QR262.5 million whichever occurs first. The company added that contractual procedures will be completed according to tender requirements before formal signing and project start.
The group has built a substantial contract backlog through repeated awards in technical services and manpower supply. It secured a QR203.9 million five-year agreement with Qatar Fertiliser Company in September 2025 to provide tier-1 manpower for carbon capture and urea projects according to Qatar Exchange disclosures. Prior to the latest win the total value of contracts under execution stood at nearly QR2.6 billion the company reported in earlier filings.
According to the October 4 statement the award gains added importance amid elevated regional uncertainty. It will enhance visibility over future revenues and support business continuity in the technical services and specialized staffing segment. Mekdam Holding Group noted that the contract demonstrates continued demand for its services and aligns with its strategy of balanced growth and portfolio expansion.
Ashghal maintains a steady pace of infrastructure contracting to support urban development across Qatar. The authority awarded 13 contracts worth QR12 billion in late 2025 for road networks drainage systems school construction and hospital refurbishments a MENAFN compilation of official releases showed. These projects form part of sustained investment under Qatar National Vision 2030 to improve sustainability and quality of life.
Mekdam Holding Group operates in technology security technical services telecommunications and oil and gas sectors across the region. The company holds ISO 9001:2015 certification for quality management along with environmental and occupational health and safety standards it stated on its corporate profile. It employs more than 5,000 staff and positions itself as a Qatar-based provider of engineering procurement and construction solutions.
The new Ashghal contract adds to a series of similar manpower agreements the group has obtained from state-linked entities in energy and industry. Earlier deals included a QR71.5 million arrangement with Qatar Energy for refining operations that runs until 2030 according to Qatar Exchange records. Financial effects from the latest award will appear in forthcoming quarterly results once mobilization begins the company indicated.
