The Ministry of Commerce and Industry announced on Sunday that Ooredoo Money had joined the Single Window Platform as the first fintech company through a cooperation agreement with Ooredoo Fintech Qatar. According to the ministry the pact forms part of efforts to expand services on the platform strengthen integration with the private sector and develop offerings for the business community. The agreement was signed by Director of the Single Window Department at the ministry Mubarak Abdulrahman Al Khulaifi and Country Head at Ooredoo Fintech Qatar Mashail Abdulfattah.

Under the agreement investors business owners and entrepreneurs can apply for an Ooredoo Money Merchant Wallet as part of the commercial registration issuance or renewal process through the Single Window Platform in line with applicable laws. The ministry stated that the service will facilitate access to digital payment solutions and financial services supporting business growth while reducing reliance on manual transactions and paper documents. This integration simplifies the investor journey and raises the efficiency of procedures a ministry statement said.

Al Khulaifi said the agreement comes within a series of cooperation pacts the ministry concludes with financial institutions operating in the country. The ministry’s statement noted that these deals aim to provide quality services to the business sector facilitate procedures and improve efficiency through a unified integrated digital platform. The initiative aligns with goals of Qatar National Vision 2030 according to the ministry.

Abdulfattah said enhancing financial inclusion for the business sector begins with facilitating access to financial services. She noted that integrating Ooredoo Money services into the ministry’s Single Window Platform allows them to be offered at a pivotal stage of the business establishment journey. This step helps reduce challenges faced by investors and entrepreneurs while strengthening a more integrated digital ecosystem that supports growth of small and medium-sized enterprises in Qatar the Ooredoo Fintech executive added.

Ministry of Commerce and Industry figures show the Single Window platform processed 131,269 transactions in the second quarter of 2026 a 4 percent increase from the first quarter with 86 percent completed electronically. The ministry reported 6,745 new commercial registrations during that quarter up 6.6 percent overall and a 60 percent rise in those established by non-Qatari companies. Customer satisfaction with electronic services reached 93 percent during the period according to the ministry data.

An IMARC Group report projected the Qatar fintech market to reach $2.07 billion by 2034 expanding at a compound annual growth rate of 15.96 percent between 2026 and 2034 after standing at $526.6 million last year. The report highlighted government focus on empowering small and medium-sized enterprises through commercial wallets bulk payments and simplified account management via public-private initiatives. Such partnerships lower barriers for smaller enterprises that traditionally faced higher obstacles in financial operations the IMARC assessment found.
