Gatik announced in a press release distributed via Business Wire that the Qatar Investment Authority and Koch Disruptive Technologies led its $200 million Series D funding round with participation from Millennium Management, ARK Invest, Intact Private Capital and additional investors. The Mountain View, California-based company will direct the proceeds toward scaling high-frequency regional routes linking distribution centers to stores while expanding its fleet of autonomous box trucks. The round increases Gatik’s total capital raised to between $352 million and $375 million, according to industry reports on the announcement. This investment arrives as the firm demonstrates daily commercial viability in live supply chains.

According to the release, Gatik operates driverless trucks in Texas, Arizona, Arkansas and Ontario for retail, grocery and consumer packaged goods customers that include Walmart, Tyson Foods and Loblaws. The company entered a multi-year strategic partnership with PepsiCo in June that constitutes its largest commercial autonomous deployment to date. Gatik has secured more than $600 million in contracted revenue after completing over 85,000 fully driverless orders with a 99 percent on-time delivery rate. The firm currently runs fewer than a dozen such trucks but plans to reach hundreds by the end of 2026.

Gautam Narang, chief executive and co-founder of Gatik, described the new capital as validation of the company’s approach. “This round, led by some of the world’s leading financial institutions, is a clear validation of Gatik’s commercial leadership in autonomous freight. We have built Gatik with real revenue, deep customer demand, and AI-driven autonomous technology proven every day in live supply chains. This round gives us the capital to scale with speed and discipline, serve the world’s largest companies, and define the future of autonomous freight,” he said in the release.

Cathie Wood, founder, chief executive and chief investment officer of ARK Invest, pointed to broader technological shifts in the sector. “Autonomous freight is reaching an inflection point as AI and robotics converge to transform the transportation ecosystem. The companies creating durable value will be those that translate breakthrough innovation into scalable commercial execution. Gatik has demonstrated that autonomous trucking is moving beyond experimentation into commercially viable operations with growing customer adoption,” she stated.

Justin Smith-Lorenzetti, managing director at Intact Private Capital, highlighted Gatik’s execution record as the basis for tripling the firm’s commitment. “We are no longer debating the potential of autonomous trucking. This category will be led by the companies that have proven technology, rigorous safety standards and the commercial discipline to operate at scale. We have tripled our commitment with this latest round, driven by the conviction that Gatik has the execution record, customer traction and technical maturity to be the leader in autonomous freight across North America,” he noted.

The Qatar Investment Authority framed its participation around improvements in logistics performance. “Autonomous freight is transforming the global logistics industry, making it more efficient and reliable,” said Abdulla Al-Kuwari, head of industrials at QIA. A Reuters report on Tuesday noted surging interest in driverless commercial freight across North America and Europe. The development builds on Gatik’s established operations in middle-mile autonomous transportation for Fortune 50 companies.
