The Kazakhstan Ministry of Transport announced the signing of a term sheet with UAE-based Presight to drive digital transformation across the country’s transport infrastructure. Vice Minister Damir Kozhakhmetov represented the ministry while Presight CEO Thomas Pramotedham signed on behalf of the company during the 38th plenary session of the Foreign Investors’ Council in Astana. According to the ministry the pact establishes a framework for deploying advanced solutions and sharing expertise in intelligent transport systems. The agreement is expected to improve overall management of transport networks while addressing growing demands on the sector.
Under the term sheet the partners will explore artificial intelligence video analytics and big data applications to enhance transport infrastructure operations the ministry stated. These technologies are intended to bolster monitoring of traffic flows and strengthen control mechanisms on key routes across Kazakhstan. The ministry added that the collaboration merges international best practices with local requirements to raise efficiency levels. Officials highlighted that such measures will support safer and more responsive transport services nationwide.

Its selection for the Kazakh initiative reflects a proven capacity to handle complex national digital programs. This term sheet extends Presight’s established ties to Kazakhstan where the company joined forces with the Ministry of Digital Development and Samruk-Kazyna in early 2024. That earlier arrangement outlined construction of an advanced AI supercomputer and associated data center cluster to underpin broader digital transformation the Ministry of Digital Development reported at the time. The 2024 project represented the inaugural effort under a joint venture formed to build sovereign AI capabilities. The latest transport agreement illustrates widening cooperation between Presight and Kazakh state institutions.
Thomas Pramotedham said “Today we signed an agreement with the Ministry of Transport to further develop smart highway solutions.” The ministry separately noted that the term sheet remains non-binding yet lays groundwork for subsequent detailed planning and implementation phases. Both sides anticipate that successful execution will yield measurable gains in transport sector performance and infrastructure resilience.
