Mwani Qatar said in a post on its X account that its ports received 160 vessels in September 2026 marking a 20 percent increase from the previous month. The company reported handling more than 54 000 standard containers during the period representing a 10 percent rise compared with August. In addition the ports managed around 40 000 tonnes of general cargo along with more than 17 000 tonnes of bulk cargo and 33 units of cars and equipment according to the announcement.

The same Mwani Qatar update indicated that livestock arrivals exceeded 8 000 head in September an increase of 38 percent from August 2026. Qatar News Agency figures show the three commercial ports under Mwani Qatar processed more than 493 000 twenty-foot equivalent units in the first half of 2026 along with 866 vessel calls during that period. The ports include Hamad Port Ruwais Port and Old Doha Port which form a key part of the country’s trade infrastructure.
