Brendan Gow has evolved his responsibilities at the wealth management firm he founded from managing immediate operations and growth initiatives to concentrating on talent development and overarching strategy. The shift allows him to dedicate increased time to junior team members and evaluating the group’s position two decades ahead. Capital Haus which maintains offices across Australia the United Arab Emirates and Switzerland has surpassed $1 billion in assets under management globally according to a company announcement last year.

A profile published by Rolling Stone MENA in September outlined how Gow now spends less time on execution and more on building the people and frameworks that will sustain the business. “I actually get to spend more time with staff and junior members of the company” Brendan says. This reorientation coincides with the firm’s move to construct capabilities beyond traditional wealth management.

Capital Haus is developing an ecosystem that integrates specialist businesses with investment research technology media and intellectual capital according to the profile. Gow has emphasised that each addition must enhance information flows attract stronger talent broaden distribution and unlock further opportunities rather than pursue scale for its own sake. The founder has described the ultimate goal as transforming the organisation into something more enduring.

“I hope the biggest difference isn’t simply that Capital Haus is larger. It is that the organisation has become an institution” he says in the September profile. Growth decisions undergo evaluation for long-term coherence and alignment with the group’s direction. Acquisitions or market entries are assessed not solely on financial metrics but on whether they contribute expertise teams or services that reinforce existing strengths.

Gow has applied similar discipline to past risks including borrowing capital to fund strategic purchases where conviction in the acquisition’s value outweighed the financing element itself according to the account. Cultural fit remains central with companies likened to possessing a distinct tone of voice that must harmonise with the wider organisation. The profile noted that technical competence alone is insufficient if a prospective addition pulls against the established character or purpose.

The approach builds on Gow’s more than 20 years in finance which began shortly before the global financial crisis and later extended to founding Capital Haus in 2022. He assumed the role of executive chairman at ASX-listed Equity Story Group following a strategic investment announced in March 2025 that aligned the entities on research-driven advisory services. Gow has also introduced managed portfolio offerings that combine core holdings with tactical satellite positions supported by research partners and artificial intelligence tools the firm has stated.
