The Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry welcomed a Chinese delegation from the Guangdong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology on November 26, 2025, according to the Emirates News Agency. The group was headed by Wang Shuping, deputy director general of the department, and included five senior officials linked to the China International Small and Medium Enterprises Fair. Youssef Ismail, first vice president of the chamber and chairman of the Supreme Committee of the Saud bin Saqr Establishment for Youth Projects Development, led the reception alongside Mohammed Al-Sabab, deputy director general of the chamber, and Eman Al-Hayyas, director general of the Saud bin Saqr Establishment.

Discussions during the meeting centered on future joint collaboration across medical, manufacturing and information technology fields, the news agency reported. Ismail detailed the chamber’s operational mechanisms, range of activities and services available to the business community as well as investors in the emirate. The Chinese visitors outlined their interest in investment prospects within Ras Al Khaimah while both sides reviewed ways to strengthen economic links.

The delegation extended an invitation for chamber representatives to attend the China International Small and Medium Enterprises Fair scheduled for September 2026 in Guangdong Province, according to the Emirates News Agency. That platform, a key venue for trade and economic cooperation between China and ASEAN countries, is set to feature more than 1,500 companies from China alone. Follow-up engagement between the chamber, the Saud bin Saqr Establishment and the Chinese side is expected to build on the talks held in Ras Al Khaimah.

China stood as the UAE’s largest trading partner in the first half of 2026 with bilateral non-oil trade valued at AED 180.7 billion, official statistics show. Overall UAE non-oil foreign trade climbed 13.1 percent year on year to AED 1.94 trillion during that period, driven in part by stronger ties with Asian economies. Such figures illustrate the backdrop against which individual emirates like Ras Al Khaimah pursue targeted business engagements with Chinese industry bodies.

A subsequent collaboration agreement signed in June 2026 between the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber and the Office of the China International Small and Medium Enterprises Fair built directly on the earlier discussions, Zawya reported. The pact focuses on exchanging information, organizing business delegations for exhibitions and advancing mutual initiatives that support small and medium-sized enterprises in both markets. Dr. Rashid Khalfan Al Nuaimi, director general of the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber, noted at the time that the framework would open new avenues for partnerships.

The Saud bin Saqr Establishment for Youth Projects Development, whose leadership participated in the November 2025 meeting, works closely with the chamber to foster entrepreneurial activity and project development across the emirate. Its programs emphasize support for young business owners who could benefit from technology transfers and manufacturing expertise discussed with the Chinese delegation. This alignment forms part of Ras Al Khaimah’s broader strategy to diversify its economy through international cooperation.
