The Emirates News Agency reported Tuesday that gold and silver prices stabilized even as other precious metals registered gains in global trading. The update, which referenced data compiled by Kitco, illustrated the varied movements within the sector amid ongoing economic assessments. Gold maintained its position near recent highs while silver showed little movement from the previous close. Bloomberg figures show the metal holding around 4,400 dollars an ounce after a 1 percent advance in the prior session that ended a brief losing streak. Traders are awaiting United States inflation data later in the week to gauge potential Federal Reserve interest rate adjustments, a Bloomberg report noted.

According to a Reuters dispatch, silver advanced 1 percent to 66.3 dollars per ounce in the same session. Platinum climbed 2.2 percent to 1,852.69 dollars while palladium edged up 0.2 percent to 1,351.37 dollars. These shifts highlight the complex factors at play across different segments of the precious metals market. A Kitco chart placed palladium at 1,350 dollars with a daily increase of 1.28 percent on September 9. The metal’s performance reflects adjustments in industrial demand particularly from the automotive industry.

Metals Focus projected platinum to average 2,190 dollars an ounce in 2026, up significantly from prior years, in a report released earlier this year. The firm cited persistent market deficits and rising investment interest as key drivers for the positive outlook. Palladium was forecast to reach an average of 1,570 dollars under the same analysis. The Reuters report also referenced analyst commentary linking gold’s support to a weaker dollar and technical buying. Lukman Otunuga of FXTM stated that the metal receives broad support from those elements while rebounding from its 100-day moving average.
