The Investment Promotion Agency stated in a press release that the partnership with Brain Co establishes a framework for cooperation to identify artificial intelligence opportunities and develop pilot projects in collaboration with public and private sector entities. Under the agreement the agency will aid Brain Co’s growth in the Qatari and regional markets by facilitating connections to government bodies, investment prospects and the local innovation ecosystem. The collaboration aligns with broader national goals to strengthen digital capabilities and economic diversification.

Umid Raghimi, head of operations at Brain Co in Qatar, said, “We are committed to supporting the State of Qatar in addressing the major challenges to achieve the objectives of the Third National Development Strategy, with a focus on vital sectors, including healthcare, energy, financial services, and the regulatory sector.” The partners will jointly implement training programs for knowledge transfer and skill development in artificial intelligence and associated fields. These efforts aim to build a foundation of local talent equipped to support sustained expansion of the technology sector and digital economy.

Brain Co, which launched from stealth mode in 2025 after securing $30 million in Series A funding according to a company announcement at the time, previously collaborated with Qatar’s Ministry of Municipality on an AI platform that transformed construction permitting from months-long processes to near real-time approvals. The firm also formed a strategic tie with malomatia, Qatar’s primary IT services provider, in late 2025 to deliver sector-specific artificial intelligence applications under the national GovAI framework. Such implementations have positioned Brain Co to address complex institutional challenges with combined Silicon Valley engineering and local domain expertise.

According to the Investment Promotion Agency’s technology sector overview, Qatar has achieved 99.7 percent internet penetration and anticipates 8 percent compound annual growth in its data centre market between 2023 and 2028. The new partnership is expected to leverage these foundations by introducing scalable AI tools that enhance operational efficiency in regulated environments. Agency officials indicated the initiative will help connect Brain Co with additional opportunities to support Qatar’s Third National Development Strategy priorities.

The agreement builds on Brain Co’s participation in Web Summit Qatar earlier in 2026, where executives outlined how the firm’s platform accelerates development of AI applications five to ten times faster than conventional methods while incorporating advancements in document processing and workflow automation. By embedding international talent within Qatari institutions the company has contributed to measurable gains in public service delivery. Plans under the partnership include extending similar successes into energy optimization, financial services and healthcare delivery.

Earlier announcements from Brain Co signalled plans to open a flagship office in Doha to serve as a base for Middle East and North Africa operations, an objective now reinforced by the Investment Promotion Agency’s backing. The framework will enable deeper engagement with local stakeholders to align artificial intelligence deployments with national innovation targets. This step forms part of Qatar’s continued push to attract advanced technology firms and foster a competitive digital economy.
