Dubai Chambers rolled out specialised training tracks in Agentic AI for more than 14000 member companies on September 1 as the opening phase of a two-year programme to transition the private sector toward autonomous artificial intelligence systems. The initiative which took place in the presence of 90 chairpersons from its business groups and councils utilises the newly established Dubai Chambers Academy e-learning platform to deliver practical skills in operations management productivity and decision-making. According to a statement from the chamber the training forms part of directives issued by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum earlier this year to position Dubai as the world’s leading hub for commercial adoption of the technology by 2028. Sheikh Hamdan who chairs the Executive Council of Dubai directed the chamber to establish the necessary framework for this shift.
Eng. Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori the chairman of Dubai Chambers said the programme reflects Dubai’s commitment to advancing its leadership’s vision by preparing businesses to adopt advanced technologies and create sustainable value. “The programme to transition the private sector towards Agentic AI reflects Dubai’s commitment to advancing the vision of its leadership by preparing the business community to adopt advanced technologies and use them effectively to create sustainable value” Al Mansoori said. “This will strengthen companies’ competitiveness and their ability to innovate and grow in the economy of the future.” Business leaders participating in the launch highlighted how the effort would help companies navigate global technological shifts.
Al Mansoori added that Agentic AI opens new possibilities for company operations by managing complex tasks enabling effective decision-making enhancing productivity and creating growth opportunities. “Agentic AI is opening up new possibilities for the way companies operate” he said. “It can help manage complex tasks enable more effective decision-making enhance productivity and create new opportunities for growth.” Through these tracks the private sector will gain the expertise needed to understand and apply the technology Al Mansoori noted in the statement distributed via official channels.
The training launch builds on an executive plan reviewed by Sheikh Hamdan in June that targets empowering 295000 companies in Dubai with Agentic AI solutions over the coming period. That plan also calls for the development and delivery of 100 specialised AI assistants within two years and the establishment of 50 new companies focused on Agentic AI. A briefing to the crown prince outlined how these steps would reshape business models boost innovation and deliver tangible economic outcomes across multiple sectors according to the Higher Committee for Future Technology Development and the Digital Economy.
In June Dubai Chambers established the Executive Committee for Agentic AI chaired by Al Mansoori with Omar Sultan Al Olama the UAE’s minister of artificial intelligence serving as vice chairman. The committee’s mandate includes accelerating technology adoption preparing businesses for global changes and enabling companies to leverage advanced solutions. It will also oversee incubators for Agentic AI startups and initiatives for knowledge-sharing and capacity building among member firms the committee said.
These measures align with efforts to reinforce Dubai’s position as a global hub for the digital economy and future industries according to the Executive Committee for Agentic AI. The committee has stated that together the training incubators and support for specialised firms will strengthen private sector competitiveness. Additional components focus on creating economic opportunities for young people in the AI field while promoting collaboration across business councils.
