The Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry led a delegation of member companies, factories and private-sector businesses to the WorldFood Moscow 2026 exhibition, the chamber said in a statement. The four-day event took place at Crocus Expo in the Russian capital with the delegation aiming to explore the latest trends in the food and beverage industry. Officials sought to expand access to international markets for local products, promote investment opportunities in Ajman and discuss potential cooperation and partnerships with global delegations.

Jamila Al Nuaimi, director of the member relations and support department at the Ajman Chamber, stated that the chamber’s participation aligns with its continuous efforts to expand its international presence. “This enhances the global presence of private sector establishments, enabling them to leverage international exhibitions and platforms while exploring new opportunities for growth and cooperation,” Al Nuaimi said. She highlighted the significance of WorldFood Moscow as a global platform that brings together manufacturers, exporters and investors from various sectors, focusing on food and beverages, agricultural products, manufacturing industries and services.

According to Al Nuaimi, the exhibition featured the participation of over 81 countries and approximately 1,100 exhibiting companies, alongside more than 150 speakers and experts. Exhibition data placed the number of trade visitors above 26,000 from more than 30 countries and 60 Russian regions. The event serves as Eurasia’s leading platform for the food industry, connecting suppliers with buyers from retail, wholesale and HoReCa sectors.

Bilateral agricultural trade between Russia and the UAE reached $400 million in 2025, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev reported in January. Patrushev forecast that the trade turnover could increase by at least 10 percent in 2026 with potential expansion in halal products, meat, grain and milk. The UAE has developed into a redistribution hub for Russian food products to other Arab and Islamic countries.

World Bank data shows the UAE has achieved sustained progress in diversifying its export base with non-oil sectors accounting for more than 75 percent of real GDP. The bank’s Gulf Economic Update projected non-oil growth to average 5.2 percent in 2026 and 2027 as manufacturing, finance and trade activities expand. Such diversification efforts underpin the Ajman Chamber’s push to secure new markets for emirate products at events like WorldFood Moscow.

The Ajman delegation engaged with international buyers and explored opportunities across 16 product categories at the exhibition, according to the chamber. Al Nuaimi noted that the platform allowed local businesses to gain insights into emerging trends and consumer demands in the Eurasian market. Previous participation in similar international exhibitions has helped Ajman companies establish export contracts and long-term partnerships.
